an on call night at 10th floor

i went to review some patient at 10th floor

out from the window is the view of KL center, including twin towers

but in the pic, the scene is not as nice as seen with naken eye

can see that the hospital is on top of a small hill

nonsence in clinic

look, there was an invisible man visit at the clinic ..
he only showed up part of his hand when he is about to go..

hehe..

how childish i am..

this patient has hepatocellular carcinoma of right lobe of liver

thus right hemihepatectomy was done

this is a difficult operation because of the tumour was large and involving right and middle hepatic veins

somehow we found that the liver after operation turned out to be a 'heart'

a rm 6000 medicine

anybody can imagine that, this injection costs rm 6000

is much more expensive than botox injection

as u can see, this is sandostatin LAR

is a kind of treatment for endocrine producing tumour

and it need to be repeated every 28 days

for how long? god knows...

because there is barely anybody can come out rm 6000/ month just for an injection

the survey still on going..

if u had the cancer that need this medicine, would u really will spend such an amount of money?

even though said rm 6000 for a month life is worth...

after gym

a night after gym, rain has just stopped

the atmosphere still cool, the light still groomy

the surrounding still wet

and there is not many ppl at the street

neon is the best company for the night

it flowers the dark

it warms the cold

enjoy the cool night with cool feel and warm heart

ICG

this is one of the test that determine liver function

with this, we can select patient that with better liver reserve undergo hepatectomy

when i first come here, i never heard about ICG

even now i also cannot remember the full name of this

but.. somehow this test need to be known by heart

because it is surely come out in exam, even though it is not used in other hospital

don't ask me about the cost, here we do it for free, but the solution used is not cheap

medical always expensive, so ppl do think dr earn lots,

who will realise that we are actually high risk cheap labour..

dengue protocol

dengue is a common outbreak in malaysia

that's why we as dr should know how to manage dengue

even though in surgery, also need to know something about dengue

when i found the protocol in HDW, i quickly take a snap shot of it

don't ask me more about it, what i know is just so minimum

and the protocol keep changing/ updating.

from surgical point of view: hmmm to refer medical, not my problem.. hehe

and look at the corridoor, from east wing to west wing

from north wing to south wing..

there is nobody..

look carefully, if u able to see 'somebody'...

then believe this: this thing surely missed his way back after the halloween..
