The beach is facing the South Indian Ocean. So the wave is strong. However the sand is soft. The authority maintains it nicely.
There are lots of hotel, pub and seafood restaurant along the beach road, however the quality is nothing to compare with Phuket island or Bali. The cost of living is too high compares to other places. It is equivalent to kl style. A simple fish and chip is about rm30 to 40. The local beer is also not cheap causing rm10 per bottle. So the foreign beer is even more expensive .
